To avoid doing homework that desperately needs to be done, but I'm too burnt out from a quarter system at an insanely demanding college, plus work, plus blah blah, to do I've uploaded a few old peices from my early on college days. It's all foundations stuff...not the stuff I want to do, but the stuff I have to do to hopefully get this degree at some point in the near future. (The ETA update on that is, this time next year should be my last miderm! Amazing...the six year or so bachelors x_x I have a bone to pick with the way colleges are run now, man....)

When November runs around I'll try to have a few friends and family members get out the whips and switches and beat me into trying to finally either put my stories down on paper as novels, or attempt the ever ellusive graphic novel/web comic with them. ETA on that is...before my hair goes white?

For those interested my plans are for:

a 'short story' of sorts that still needs a name...but it involves demons, demon hunters, angels, faceless fighting monks, and the Tainted (to be explained later...). This one has the biggest potential to become a web comic/graphic novel as it's very nature is finite unlike most of my other stories and characters.

'Wish You Were Here' 1 and 2, the story that had a sequel before it was even half way planned through its first version. This story started as a catharsis. It's one of the darkest things I've ever conceived...and I LOVE it. It maximizes on my love of mythology, local lore and folk tales, and putting the twist on them to bring the old back into the realm of the 'real world'--what was once sworn by as absolutely true as being made thought somehow possible again. The theme for the first one is basically revenge, and if it can be justified, and can a person have the right to judge that if they don't understand where a person's coming from once they make a decision. The second one...came as a surprise to me when a character I didn't even know about started narrating the very beginning. Characters from book two will probably float in and out of planning pictures, but if/when I start Wish You Were Here I'm going to try to be firm on myself and make myself stick to number one until it's completion, or at least to the edge of it's completion before running off in another direction.

'Dream Orphans'. ....Needs a new name, I know. What can I say? It came with it--that and a creepy white six year old boy that's been around since before the dark ages. Dun dun duuuuun..... *beat* ....Yeah. So this story involves a blind but not blind boy, autistic baby brothers, banding together of dreamers and outcasts, scars in the fabric of the world that accounts for the loss of childhood an innocence and darkness of the day, plots against humanity, and a writer who never grew up. This is such a visual story for me it would be a FANTASTIC graphic novel...if I could ever do it right. I don't know just writing it would do it justice, but until I can figure out a way to present this story visually ('Elliot's story' until I can find it a less lame title) in a way that will do it justice, it's the least likely one to be seen beyond planning stages.

Other things taking up my much limited brain space would be trying to plan the book dedicated to my dad I'd promised him that's finally starting to take tentative shape, and the ever ambitious Automa Cycle where entire worlds and races are created from the ground up, and the story zooms from era to era and yet somehow is all supposed to be tied together in some way to be revealed later...it's big, it's convoluted, and it may never work, but it will probably continue to be tinkered with. Stories never die...they just grow up and evolve until they can survive in the light of rational thought (aka not just my own mind).

No idea when I'll be back around...but I will be eventually. That's all the updates for now. I hate looking at old work but I hate having only doodle work up to associate with my name here as well. Maybe at some point I'll have stuff up I actually care about--actual honest to God character work in some decernable style.

And if you're reading this Jose and Tasha--miss you guys!!!! *glomp*

Hey there, very fine gallery. You've got a great eye and the skills to back it up. Particularly liked your mocks for Frankenstein and the Dracula ballet; good concept and very good execution. Can't wait to see more.
